You Keep Attracting Broke-Ass Clients

As a salesperson, constantly hearing potential clients say that they don't have the money for your product or service is frustrating. This objection is bull%^$&. The truth is, that people are afraid of making a commitment. So why do you keep attracting clients that are afraid of committing?

The Two Questions You Need To Ask Yourself

1. What stories are you telling?

2. What stories do you need to tell, in order to attract your client?

Your Story Is a Beacon

One of my clients came to me recently, after dealing with ‘broke-ass client syndrome’ firsthand.

This client was showing up on social platforms consistently, sharing stories, and doing everything ‘right’. It took us a while, and then we finally noticed that the stories he was sharing were stories of when he first started out. Stories of how he had to hustle to make it to the next level and how he constantly faced trials and tribulations. He consistently communicated how difficult it was to be flat broke.

Turns out,  these stories attracted people who were in a similar situation. They could relate to his experiences and be inspired by his journey. Seeing how far he had come, despite all the obstacles he had faced,  made them believe that they could overcome similar challenges. Here’s the thing, though: the people who could relate to these stories are not his ideal client!

What was happening? He was becoming a beacon for broke people. If you're constantly faced with having these sales calls with people that don't have the money, it's time to change the stories you tell. Take a hard look at how you speak.

Are you speaking like an authority in your space? Are you speaking like the coach a higher caliber avatar, a higher caliber client, would want to work with? Why would somebody that has money want to work with you if all you talk about is working with broke people?

It's time to change the language and change the perspective because as soon as you do, people will start seeing you as the high-caliber service provider that you are.  When you're ready to shift to a high-caliber perspective, join us in the free Elevated Coaches Community
