How to become valuable (and make more money)

Earlier this week, I got an awesome newsletter from my buddy Joe Polish (founder of Genius Network and author of What’s In It For Them).

Now when it comes to building connections…

This guy knows his stuff.

In the email Joe talked about what it means to be “valuable.” But more importantly… how you become MORE valuable.

(It’s actually simpler than you might think)

Let me explain.

According to Cal Newport in his book Deep Work – being valuable is a result of hyperfocusing on ONE thing (and becoming the best at it).

It can be literally anything:

> storytelling

> creating sales funnels

> communication

High performers know this.

And that’s why everyone you look up to (entrepreneurs, thought leaders, etc) tend to be known for just one thing – and they’re great at it.

Think about people like Alex Hormozi.

He completely changed the game for content marketing. But before that? He was known for helping gyms increase their revenue.

And then there’s Joe Polish.

He’s known for his being a great networker.

All because they spent YEARS learning and mastering something highly specific. That’s how they became so valuable (ultimately making them rich).

Remember:

Hyperfocus is the answer.

Pick one thing.

Master it.

That’s the key to becoming valuable.

(Here’s Joe’s newsletter again if you want to subscribe)

Hope this helps.
